Catherine avait une vie assez mouvementée. Assez curieux sont les morts accidentels de ses conjoints.

Le premier, Pierre Vilain, se fait tuer par un arbre peu après le mariage, de même son deuxième époux Jean Simon qui se noye à son tour.

Puis elle marie Nicolas Millet qui brûle accidentellement dans sa maison. Finalement elle marie Pierre Desautels.

Catherine, contrairement à ses malheureux époux, atteint l'âge respectable de 84 ans.

Au Recensement 1681 elle avait 45 ans
