Il n'a jamais porté le nom Ducharme (il s'agit d'une erreur de Jetté). Le prénom Nicolas est également une erreur.

Vers 1615 la branche québecoise de Pierre Charron se convertit au calvinisme.
Pierre Charron était donc calviniste.
